Subaru Cedara Classic

29 January marked the date of the extremely well known subaru cedara classic.

There were alot of big names with the likes of Luke Roberts, Travis Walker, Brandon Stewart, Jaques Rossouw, Sean Merradew and many more.

Race started out very quickly. about ten kilometers in i was sitting 5th overall and went the wrong way twice. trying to ride back i managed to hurt my groin and top off a unsuccessful day i managed to crash on land on my already damaged quad. On the whole not one of my best results but can only get better i guess. Really looking forward to the first cross country nationals in Capetown next weekend. Form is definately there.

My "Ellsworth Enlightment 29er" was unbelievable. handles like a expert and on the whole is worryingly fast. Big wheels are the way.

2012 plans and season opener

Hey guys.

Ok so I know this has been really delayed but dealing with matric has already started to eat all my extra time away.

So in 2012 I will be riding in the Ellsworth South Africa team along with Richardt Ferreira and Eszter Erdelyi, under the wing of Johann Wykerd.

My 2012 season kicked off on my 18th birthday at the KZN tt champs. The route around NMR avenue was awesome and we had full road closure. KZN cycling really put on a brilliant event. I didn't have a very good race and ended up getting a silver medal. well done to Ryan Felgate of ASG sports on his win.

The 2012 racing calender seems very busy and filled with lots of worthwhile races. My next race will be the Subaru Classic in Cedara this weekend followed by the first of the SA cup xc races in Cape Town.
