Cowan House super classic

Early morning it was to be for the much talked about Cowan House super classic fun course and boy was it fun. 4 degrees (C) and rain on the start line, which made all single track that much more technical. Race started out fast as Brandon Stewart attacked directly after the neutral zone, I was just off the lead group when I punctured after about 5km into the race, I fixed the puncture and realised it was still leaking, at this stage I knew I would have to ride the race on a leak. The single track was flowing and KOM (king of the mountain) was so high up the visibility had become almost impossible due to the thick mist and rain.
I managed to secure a 1st in junior category and 6th overall just behind Andrew Warr. unfortunately I lost alot of time in the single track and with my puncture, but am still proud of my result.
